Killer-breakfast, free TV from across the globe, (St)architecture and lots of music in What Thinks Fritz #46. So dig in, enjoy, share, share, SUBSCRIBE and/or …buy us a coffee ☕️!
Der Ochsen 🐮 😋
Readers (EV-)traveling to Tuscany this summer (spring, fall of winter) on the lookout for a stopover can stop looking cause we found one: Der Ochsen in Kappel-Grafenhausen, Germany. Within walking distance of a Tesla supercharger and multiple EV-charging points on site, hotel Der Ochsen is world-famous for its killer breakfast. It is served in an almost 400 years old building accross the street from a winery that has schnitzel und bauer-wurst on the menu. WtF-subscribers get a 5% discount on direct bookings using the code DEROCHSEN. Jah!

TV Garden 📺
TV Garden is an amazing site that offers free, live TV from around the world. Just pick a country, a channel, a program and start watching. Very eazypeazy.
Vitra Architecture Tour 🏛️
While known for its design furniture, Vitra is also deeply invested in architecture. This can be experienced by joining a 2-hour architecture tour on the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, near Basel. The tour includes buildings by e.g. Tadao Ando, Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid, as well as a stroll through a Piet Oudolf garden and a visit to one of the on-campus factories.

WtF Recommends: Herb Sundays 🌿😎
Herb Sundays is a weekly playlist series curated by world-class music fans - musicians, DJs, writers - who each create their perfect Sunday mix, often with unexpected or deeply personal. The "Herb" in question is an allusion to NYC slang for an uncool person. What Thinks Fritz readers will appreciate the relaxed vibe, musical depth, and fresh (some uncool) discoveries (just like our highly appreciated WtF playlist on Spotify). No posing, no flexing, just the best stuff👊.
Sly Stone Covers 🎶🪨
Sly Stone, born Sylvester Stewart, passed away on June 9, 2025, at age 82. Growing up in California, he formed Sly & the Family Stone in 1966, pioneering a blend of funk, soul, and rock. With hits like Dance to the Music and Family Affair Sly Stone inspired generations:
An influence echoed in the many covers of ‘Family Affair’. These are our favourite versions:
Funky & elegant by Iggy Pop (recorded with funk legend Bootsy Collins),
Joyful & rhythmic by Chuck Brown and The Soul Searchers, and
Groovy & harmonious by Keb’ Mo’.
The The
The The released ‘Slow Emotion Replayed’ recently in June 2025: a stripped-down, atmospheric remake of their 1993 classic. The new version feels more intimate, featuring the Omnichord, stellar guitar work and subtle arrangements that let Matt Johnson’s voice and lyrics shine. A successful, fresh reinterpretation. Indeed, sometimes the older the song, the better the music gets!
